Motivated by a desire to help empower people from all walks of life to realize the many benefits comprehensive financial planning can provide, Cory McDaniel left an accomplished career as a Vice President at one of the nation’s largest financial institutions to establish Laurus Financial Group, LLC with partner, Jerry Reder. Cory’s approach to financial and investment planning places the interests of his clients first in seeking to help individuals, families and business owners achieve alignment between their values and their financial goals.
Cory focuses on three key groups: clients in and nearing retirement seeking strategies to ensure income will last the duration of their retirement; young families juggling multiple financial priorities; and business owners seeking to build personal wealth and provide competitive, cost-effective employee benefit programs. Both business and personal wealth management clients rely on Cory for advice across the full spectrum of their wealth management needs, including retirement, estate planning, investments, life and long-term care insurance and tax strategies.
Before founding Laurus Financial Group, LLC in 2003, Cory spent 12 years at Bank of America where he was the recipient of the bank's highest national honor, the Leadership Excellence in Neighborhood Development (LEND) award. During his tenure at the bank, he was recognized with numerous other awards for customer service and production.
Cory acknowledges the meaningful role Christian family values have played in forging his successful career and inspiring confidence, character and a deep desire to share his knowledge and talents with others. Cory has long been active in his church and in youth ministries. In 2010, he helped start a local non-profit ministry, The Giving Closet, to provide educational services, mentoring and life skills to children, teens and young adults in need in Clark County, WA.
Cory and his wife, Lenee, live in Ridgefield, WA with their four children, three of whom were adopted in Moldova in 2007. Cory and his wife own a vineyard in Ridgefield, WA where they enjoy spending time together as a family while growing and cultivating the vines.
